Species: Mohave Coral ( Coralia Mohavelus) Length: 6-8" (2" pictured)Habit: Originally found in Kingman, AZ, USA. Proabably found worldwide now due to the spread of Tucsoneffectimitis.Distinquishing Charateristics: Bright red interspersed with metallic nickel.Dangers: Rarely fatal though noted to be highly addictive. Treat with cerium oxide or diamond. If conditions persist, buy more and repeat.

I appreciate all the comments. I started to post a response several days ago when my very confused computer went haywire.
The bulges on the outside of each curve more closely resemble a snake's body. Most snakes don't resemble a piece of rope that is symmetrical in width from head to tail when in a position such as this pendant. The deadly Coral snake is an exception.
It's hard to imagine an animal more feared and (wrongly) associated with evil. Whoever says they want to be reincarnated as a snake? Heck at least some people dream of being Batman. Yet, they do provide a necessary balance in nature.
