Well I've been trying to time all the tumblers to be off while we start doing some travelling for the next few weeks. I've been anticipating this batch for a very long time, I had very high hopes. Well I wasn't disappointed. First off, some always fun bahia agate. I found some more pieces after this photo, but you'll see how I missed them further down. Next, some of the more brownish colored lake superior agate. I still have probably 70 pounds of this in stage 1 that is sitting in a big bucket ready to move to stage 2 in batches Some more red lake superior Some cabs. The black lace is cut from a larger, previously tumbled piece. I am making this for a friend's wife for their anniversary. The reddish stuff is mooka from Australia, and the white and red/orange oval is teepee canyon. Montana agate A cool laker A piece of Wampidy wood Colorado epidosite Some laker pieces unknown jaspery stuff Yellow Jasper Colorado agate some Colorado agate that has nice dendrites The whole batch It's strange to have silence in the garage, but all the tumblers are maintained and ready to fire back up in a few weeks. I'll probably be making some jewelry as we travel, I owe some FRBs to people, I'm in a travelling box group, but otherwise who knows what rocky stuff is coming!

Thanks Tammy! This one was fun, this was a very full UV-10, I think it ended up just OVER 10#

Thats a great looking batch. The bahia's and lakers sure take a lot of patience in 60/90. You were lucky to score 70 lbs of lakers out in Colorado. I live in Michigan and can't come across that much.

My son found his first Laker last weekend. It's pretty tiny, but he was so excited. He came running down the beach yelling "I found an agate!"
That's a really nice batch of rocks. What are you doing with the large quantities of rock you're producing?

That's a pretty nice batch there John! My personal fav is the Wampi-Wood. You're gonna have to save the sound of your tumblers rolling on your phone to play when you're on the road and missing them, LOL. Jo

Thanks all.
Rob, so far I've been giving a lot away to kids, friends, etc but this filled my rock stash bag and I need to increase my rate of depletion. I won't have anything new for at least a month, so I may be empty by then as I will be taking my stash with me and giving it away as I go.

Wow! You've been busy. It's always a sad moment when I turn off the tumbler before a trip...but you timed it just right to quit on a high note.
"A Cool Laker" is my favorite. I would not be able to release that one from the collection.

Very cool batch! Don't even know where to start... but those black lace ones for your firend's wife are incredible! Great job on all of it and... enjoy the quiet! Embrace it and realize that while it drives you nuts, most underchallenged people find comfort in it.... and be REALLY glad you discovered that rocks are really cool!!!! Just sayin.... You could be one of "them..." Lacks imagination, but, hey! they don't know what they're missing anyway! That's what vacations are about...
Enjoy!
