This was my first cabbed rock that I did at BikerRandy's. I got it wrapped real quick, but wanted to add beads to it. I never found just what I wanted and realized that I loved it as it was, so I am leaving it plain and simple. I'm leaving the copper bare, too. I love this stone and it will always be near and dear to my heart, so I wanted a pendant that I would really like. Attachments:

That is an awesome wrap and stone. Definitely one to be proud of. How did you connect the wires at the top?

Thanks!
I fused the copper at the top, hammered the whole thing and filed to shape at the top. This is 14g wire. I had to file a little circle shape at the top to fit the bail right.

Very, very pretty!
Could you show us the back and a side? I'm wondering how the stone is held in the bezel.

Oh, oh, oh, (hand waving in the air) I want to guess!!! I think the wires on the sides go around the back. Am I right? Huh huh huh. My second childhood if fun. Jim

Thanks everyone!!! It does look like a puzzle doesn't it? I assure you this is very, very secure. I pride myself on secure wraps. It is deceptively simple and I'll give you a hint--- It is based on a design by Ed Sinclair the old timer-Master wire wrapper and one of my personal heroes. If you are familiar with his work then this will be simple to figure out. ;D Tell you what-- I wrote a tute for this- first to guess and PM me the correct design by Ed (it has a name) I'll send the tute to. This is my variation because I don't like to have prongs poking the stone. The design that you see pictured above is a variation on the tute. The tute and more images of the design are here. www.blog.telaformosa.com/p/tutorials.html#ecwid:category=2068046&mode=product&product=8718177That link is messed up- here's a tiny url tinyurl.com/6rwszgf(that was in no way meant to be a sales pitch!)

VERY cool, Tela! I was wondering if we were going to see it wrapped! Beautiful piece and the wrapping really accents the stone. First ones are always keepers, so hang onto it!
Enjoy!
