Stayed up way too late last night working on this, but I don't like to put down weave work, so late it was. All of this is woven. This is a killer stone. I've never seen one like this cabbed. It's pretty big, too. 40mm long. Attachments:

Here's the side- I wanted to lift the cab up high so the light would play better with it. It's mostly transparent. Attachments:

That has got to be a time consuming wrap, Ti's so elegant!

Thanks- wish there was a "blush" emoticon. @hub-- yeah this took a long time. I had a little trouble and almost gave up a few times. The wire that was supposed to be soft was really like 1/2 hard, which made weaving difficult. Some of the weaving I picked up from Lisa Barth. She has a tutorial at Jewelrylessons.com or used to. My design is way different but the weaving on the sides is the same pattern, I think. I do a lot of different weaves and have forgotten the exact one she did. The netting weave is one that Eni Oken popularized. It's been around a long time. The bail weave, I taught myself after seeing others doing it. The trick is pulling it all together. The first one I did, I did in copper with block sugilite. It looks fabulous with a patina, but I chickened out on the silver patina. I'll leave it as is. Donnie's Rocky Treasures- Thank you- pretty was exactly what I was after. The stone is just so dang pretty I wanted the setting to be pretty, too.

Beautiful stone and wrap! I had to do a Bing search on danburite. I've been collecting for decades and haven't had the opportunity to see it before. I noticed in my search that the danburite crystals make a gorgeous faceted stone too. Thanks for posting.

Thanks Randy Oh, there's plenty of styles and a lot of them that I don't do. I get impatient with some of them. This is the extent of my patience right here. Mossy-- I had to search danubrite, too. I saw the faceted stones and crystals, but I never saw a cab. I know this is the real deal. The guy I got this from is very knowledgeable and has quite a collection. He's super awesome! Thanks, Mystick and thanks for looking
