Another mystery stone. I got this from Susan- it's some kind of jasper/agate, I assume. I posted the cab before, this is the cab finished. Even though this is a simple wrap, it took forever, for some reason. Attachments:

Another from Susan. Interesting rock with some undercutting that left a cool texture on the stone. It shined up nice though. Definitely some kind of jasper agate. Attachments:

What kind of wire did you use for your wraps? Did you use square or round?

Hi Donnie- 99.9% of the time I use round.

Thank, I like the way the round looks! That's what I started out with. I might try some more wrapping with the round because I have some niobium I would like to do something with. A little tough to work with but doable.

I have never wrapped with niobium. Maybe I should give it a try. Is it like stainless steel as far as hardness? I have only used prefab earwires.
I started out using more square than I do now. I switched to mostly round when I started using more copper because it was more available, but now I prefer it.

I am seeing more and more of the blackened copper and I am going to have to get me some of that sulfur stuff. Somebody told me the name of it but I did not write it down and now I am blank. Will you please refresh my memory so I can write it down. Jim

Liver of sulfur. You can get the rock kind, which doesn't last long or the gel kind, which lasts a long time and is easier to use. You can use it on silver, too.
