Chloey and I decided to take a step back from Labradorites for a weekend and play with some materials we hardly ever touch. We had fun, we have some pendant blanks we wanted to play around with and thought this would be a fun "do what ever" weekend. Need to refine our skills with sizing not to mention learning how to work materials that don't start with "lab" and end in "ite" All and all it was fun and we learned a bit. The bunch Some Lapis, An orange quartz, love the way it works with the vintage bronze, this was one of the few that survived We found it to be very crumbly, even this one crumbled a bit, but keeping in the "what ever" spirit, we mounted it A green quartz set Some tigers eye, I will be pulling more of the shelf soon, it was fun. OK, so we did a few Labradorites... ;D We had a heck of a time with these, the setting is also domed. Need to work more on these ones. Some amethyst, Blue quartz, we liked the streaks. Some emeralds, or emeralds in mostly green beryl, or beryl... just covering our bases. We also did some garnets, snowy quartz and a few others. Already have a new list, were going to pull down some jaspers, other quartz, obsidian, malachite, carnelians next I think. Carleton

Now that looks great; and all in one weekend? Love the strong colors that you use and workmanship looks far out! Way to go......

Wow, wow, wow!!! You did all of that in one weekend?? Awesome! Those are some great pieces.
Sometimes, you really do need to mix it up every now and then. Jean

Those are awesome! Could I ask what you used to set them with? An adhesive? If so, which one? Thanks in advance and for posting the pics.

Do those findings come with a template for shaping the stone? How about a dome taper recommendation? Just curious.

Sorry everyone, I thought this post was buried. Ash, we used "epoxy 330" a 2 part epoxy (1 to 1 ratio). Carlo, no they do not, we tried to press them onto our transfer paper and get a set of templates. Sorry, I feel like a big novice now... What is a "dome taper"? is that a back bevel, but simply domed? ltpaulbtv, We get them from various places, if your looking for a few we sell most of what you saw (we are kind of picky on paper work to ensure material purity, and a couple of the above did not meet our standards if you notice some not listed) This is not "public" so this listing will have to found through this link. labradoritesandgems.com/Page_27.htmlTrish, those are crysophrase, a bit more of a subtle green than normal. Thank you for all the other kind words, Carleton
