I plan on making jewelry with my tumbled stones. I have looked like mad for a place to buy sterling silver necklace chains for a good price to keep my cost down. I found a deal that was to good to be true 10pc sterling silver 22" chains for under $10. It's on ebay. It's also shipped from china. Don't sound so good anymore. Any help is appreciated. I have spent hours searching only to go in circles. If not maybe someone can give me some different ideas. I have thought cord, but any cord I have ever had broke. Anyway I'll keep searching and checking back here. Thanks. Tony

for sold sterling silver chains, I shop here: dreamland jewelry supply, or if you have a resale tax id, azur1.com
10 x 22" sterling silver chains for $10 is too good to be true. I suspect that they are silver plated base metal.

unless you are putting a special sterling setting on the tumbled stones, I would get silver-filled chain. you need to keep the value of the various components in line.

Thank you everyone. I had not heard of silver filled chain. However now having searched it I believe I have found my option for now. It's a good starting place for me. I'll still check back from time to time to see if anyone has any other ideas. Tony
