So I cut this 24.4mm x 22.8mm AZ. stabilized cabochon and wrapped it last night. I used 48" of sterling silver wire in the construction of the pendant setting. Cab Here is the pendant I created Thanks for looking, Christopher

Really gorgeous, Chris! How did you secure the weaving in the back? From the phot it looks like you hooked them? Great effect and I really like what it does for the piece!

Thank you everyone for your kind comments.
Cathy,
I just wrap them around the back of the frame and cinch them down. If you look real closely you can see the ends wrapped around the back. I hope that helps.

Very nice wrap and stone. ;D The silver is perfect for it.
I just cut my first turquoise today. I didn't realize it was so soft!

It is soft, huh...
Will someone teach me how to weave the bail. I love this element in wraps...I just do not know how to do it and I think it would add some pizzazz to this wrap.

It's pretty straightforward. Give it a try and ask me any questions you have. Start with 3 separated weft wires (or 3 sets of 2 wires depending on the gauge) and weave (over/under) a small gauge wire between them. Weave till you get to the height of the bail and then tighten up the weave, pulling the weft wires in as you go. Takes some practice, but it isn't too hard to do.

Sounds straight forward. So there is no way to weave this bail unless I figure out a way to add 4 more wires?
I should have used the wires in the little swirls in the bail....then I could have weaved it.....bummer......maybe next time I will get to try. Thank you for all your help
