On my last visit with Randy I got to tag along for one of his wire wrapping classes in Virginia Beach, VA. Randy does a great job teaching and every student at all levels leaves happy with a finished piece. I wish I had gotten a pic of the finished pieces, but I can tell you his students had a great time and several are going to take his class again. Here are some pics of the master teaching his techniques. If you can get to Virginia Beach to wrap with Randy, it is well worth doing. PM Randy for the info on where and when. Randy, thanks for letting me hang with you and your wonderful students. It was a pleasure and an honor. Jo

It's always a good time, but I really enjoyed you being there!! The older lady (standing up in the last pic) is a riot!! Sometimes she'll tell stories (and stop the class) but the stories are so good that you gotta listen. The first class that I had her in took 4 1/2 hours! ;D

Looks like a lot of fun! It's always nice to get paid for doing what you love and have fun doing it. Looks like a real cozy size class, too. You da man, Randy!

I'm thinking you should be looking into RV's, Randy! Looks like fun and that you have a great place for teaching! Very cool!

Randy already has a camper and the truck to pull it. Cathy's still in school now but when she's all done in a couple years they plan to get a toy hauler (RV that can carry a couple motorcycles) and a bigger truck to pull it. Haha.. I'll be his agent and start booking him for his national wire wrapping tour.

;)Or Randy could get a camera and monitor and I can bridge the the video conferanceing and we could all take the class through distance education. We do it all the time here at the college. Not sure how much it woul cost but it is not a lot. The issue would be that Randy would have to have some one on his end follow him through his process. Not as good as being in person...at least for us old timers. The younger generation seems to learn just fine through this method.
just another option.

I'm looking. lol..... I'm also a full-time carpenter, that's where the big money is for now. The wire wrapping is a fun side-gig, a money making extension of this cool hobby. All profit goes into more rocks, diamond blades, wire, tumbler grit and more equipment. More stuff, more fun!! ;D Of course, I do wanna meet all y'all some day.
