John - I have one. I don't like them so much, they will do smaller, but anything that small, I hand feed. I will throw it in the box with your green pet wood.

I bought Donnie's medium slab grabber that she had bought from Tony because she needed a small one. It works great and will grab just about any rock shape. I paid Donnie full price of $40.00 because the thing is just about indestructible and looked like new even though Donnie has been using it for a while. I know catmandewe has small because he just made a batch because Donnie wanted one. Check out his web sight to see what he has available.
I have to use mine a little different than most people because I have the vertical clamp Lortone saw but it still gets the job done. I had to remove one bolt and clamp down with the saw clamp to hold the stone but it still holds very good and the price is right compared to the others. Jim

The GRS gripper is made in a shop about 3 miles from me. Pretty slick unit but takes a bit of a learning curve to operate. I glue rocks to clean non oily boards with white wood glue, oil doesn't affect it but water will cause it to release.

I like to soak my rock in water to prevent oil uptake, and I often change direction of cut, so I have never been fond of gluing to boards.
