So at the Mid Hudson Gem and Mineral Society show yesterday...that I didn't happen to see any RTH'ers at but the way, I picked up a really cool crystal Celest.... inite? maybe, that makes a really cool backdrop, especially for back lighting! Todays wrap was the second of the flame agates which I only have three more to go on... Yes, this is the flame agate that never ends but hopefully this is the last really tough one. Ergo, without further delay... Are you ready, 'cause this is really cool! And for really good backlighting...the arrowhead again! So, I think it's cool! Multitude of problems solved by a rock! Gotta love it! OH! And PS, this is my first sterling wrap!!! ;D Cathy

Great job with the silver! I love that shape and the backlighting really works well to show off the stone. Too cool!

Beautiful work!! The new one looks perfect, I love the style. I'm also noticing the perfect spacing of the circles on the arrowhead. Awesome job!!

Well there is celestite, but what you have looks like selenite and I had that same idea!! I was going to start shooting on selenite to see how it came out. Oh well now you can claim dibs and I can look like a copy cat!

oh, he is using quartz it looks like. Maybe you aren't using selenite? Can you show a pic of just the background?

I think it ise celestite. Let me get a shot of it up here for you. Hang on for a few. It's a cool rock and I did get the idea for doing this from Dave...after having several miserable attempts at backgrounds...

I've been seeing more Celestite. It can be a variety of colors, we saw a lot of blue at the Denver show and my son picked up a chunk up in Torrington, Wyoming of all places a few weeks ago.

I don't know. It looks like selenite to me, but I am not a rock expert. Either way it looks cool!

It does and that's why I got it. I'm not big into specimens but when I do find one or buy one, it's because I see something really cool in it. This one really plays with light well and that's just what I wanted it to do. So, whether Selenite or Celestite it works! LOl!

Your wraps certainly have the WOW factor! Both are awesome but the second one ... breathtaking . As for your very cool mystical mystery background rock, pretty sure it is Celestite if it is fairly soft/brittle about a 3.2 or it could be Selenite ,Celestite tends to have a blueish hue to it. Either way ,it is a beautiful stone and a great way to showcase your work Chloey
