I've been so busy with rocks that I haven't done much wrapping. I need to get more done. Tonight I did this and tried out a new look for the woven bail. This is the sparkly, pyrite spotted (probably) mariposite that I posted in the cab section. I love it and the shape. Unfortunately, I didn't think to outline the stone before I wrapped it. I like the bail. the wire in the center give it weight. It is almost too heavy for the stone and wrap, but not quite. it still works.

Works all the way --- shape, wrap, and bail.

It looks great, as all yours do!
I'm not familiar with the idea of outlining the stone, what do you do that for? Or do you just mean the outline on the slab before you cut it?

Thanks for the feedback. I cut the stone freeform and wanted to trace the shape to make a template and forgot to. I'm trying to get in the habit of making templates from cabs I like.

you have a nice photo of the cab, here is the outline. I can blow it up if you want it:

I really like the lines of the central wires in the bail a lot more! Very nice piece and the colors of the wire look great with that stone! Very nice wrap!

Beautiful stone and wrap. I also really like the shape and the way you leave almost all of the stone exposed. Jim

That's a nice edition to the bail. One of the things I've always admired about your wraps is the bails. This one is no exception.

Thanks everyone and esp Herchenx for the drawing. I'm like- why didn't I think of that- Doh! LOL! ;D I'm hoping to get some wrapping done today. But, my muse has not been kind to me lately.

Don't feel bad, my muse has not been kind to me lately either. Here's to both of us getting back in the groove or rather the wrap soon. By the way, that is another beautiful piece. I love the colors.
