Hi all, I am new to this forum, but have been on the Aussie Lapidary Forum for quite a while. I have learnt a whole lot from that so I thought I would broaden my horizons a wee bit and join some more forums! I'de also like to invite those that are on facebook to come and have a look at the facebook page that I have recently created. you can find it at www.facebook.com/JakaGems Most of the items are for sale, but I am more interested in sharing my cabs (and the few pieces of jewellery I have recently been game enough to try my hand at!) with other like minded people. I am hoping to get my wife to do a silversmithing course at some stage in the near future, but that will have to wait until our newborn decides she is going to be happy with a bottle! Thanks for that! If the facebook page is successful, I might looking at putting together a proper website. Just a pipe dream at the moment though as I work full time and have 2 kids under 2, so not a whole lot of time for cutting!

Check out ecwid.com You can put a store on your FB page for free. I have an ecwid store on my blog for stones and tutes and have a store on my FB page. It's free for 100 items or less and pretty easy to set up. (I rarely if ever go to FB my blog does pretty well, though.) If you want a proper site, buy a domain name and space and set up a free store with OpenCart. I love mine- check it out- very easy to do www.telaformosa.com |
