The softer wire arrived yesterday and ... well yes, I did tear into it. This is the next of the flame agates. One more that's ready to wrap after this and then, I think I'm going to get into some other stones for a while as this stuff is numbing my brain.
Anyway, here she is...
Anyway, the wire... this is in 22 g ds square gold fill with 22g hh half round sterling for the bindings. The wire is very easy to bend compared to the 21 g hh that I've been working and because of that is a little difficult for me to work because I'm used to really having to force the wire to do what I want it to. I don't have to do that with this and that's unfamiliar for my hands.
I'm failry well pleased with the piece. First time I've been able to do the wrap around at the top and that's pretty cool! I think if I were to have a problem with it, it would be that I'm used to a much more solid feeling wrap. To me it seems very light. Not so much a problem as a difference.
