Sometimes it's not about how unique or rare the stones are, but why the stones are special to each person. So, a while back I took a commission that's finally finished. A customer approached me with some ragged looking found obsidian and quartz, she told me they had belonged to her grandparents who had passed away and she wanted to make two bracelets out of them for her Mother and Aunt for Christmas. (She picked out the link bracelet design) The stones were just smaller than my fist each, and looked horrible... but I showed them to my good friend Jim, posting pictures and he said he'd take a shot, boy did he come through. Five beautiful little cabochons came my way about 2 weeks after I sent them out, he's a fast worker! But I think we both like our little adventures into seeing what we can make together But what was I to do with five stones and two bracelets? Make a pendant for the customer with the odd one of course Thank you so much Jim! This is going to make Elisha's Christmas wonderful!!! So I wrapped the cute little cabs and here they are: Krista

You did a great job of wrapping those little tiny stones Krista. Those were the smallest cabs I have made by a long shot but they were fun. I had to use 1/4" sticks so they would not hang over the edge. By doing these I learned a lot about small cabs and having to do special shapes with no second chance.
I am ready for the next challenge so bring it on. Jim
