I have heard some people say they tumble their wire wraps to polish when finished. What material do you use? Walnuts? Also vibe or rotary? I read on Rockshed that they did not recommend stainless steel for jewelry with stones.

I will tumble wire wraps with stainless steel jeweler's shot as long as the stone is durable.

I also use plastic pellets for cushioning with the steel.

I don't tumble polish my wraps anymore, but when I did, I would use SS shot mix with a little dish detergent. I always removed the stones from the wraps before tumbling.

Thanks. I orders some SS shot from Rock shed and I'll try it with some plastic pellets.
