These are some things I've been playing around this month. Made a few rings, including this one which was a custom request but in he didn't like the color once it was done. It's made from Wyoming jade. I made this from a little piece of Burmese jadeite, beautiful stone and a pleasure to work. Wish I had more! I carved this bead from synthetic blue quartz. I like the way light reflects from it. Thanks for looking, Tim

A lot of people only expect to see the imperial green tones in the nephrite but there is a wide variance in colour there to depending on where it comes from as you probably know; too bad he rejected it. The jadeite sure is nice stuff to work with.

Very nice rings, the Burmese looks a lot like some of the Alaskan mutton fat jade. That bead is really awesome. Good work!

Thanks guys. The customer showed me a photo of a similar ring that I'm sure was made from Guatemala green jadeite, which I don't have and didn't want to buy for $100 per lb. He said make something similar. . . . Anyway, it was still fun to make. The Burmese jadeite is even better in person.

That one is a beautiful, classic jade color. How could the custommer to dislike it?
Beautiful ring.

Really nice work on all three. That synthetic blue quartz carving is the one that really caught my eye.

I really have to get some hole sws and try a couple of these. I have about 30 lbs of different Guat jade colours and there is one called jaguar; which is a dark green with large mutton fat speckles that I think would look great but they all would
