what size saw are you cutting with james? I have a 10 inch and a 16 inch...on the 10 I just drain the water out after each use on the 16 I have to cut slabs slowely or the heated water will warp my blade and use a rust inhibitor and leave the water in...I have the exact same coral pics and when cooked some of that makes some beaufiful cabs here is a pic of a cab I made from that northern river coral see how the polyps float in it?

Good to know that those i found are going to heat pretty.I will be looking forward to playing with that southern zone material.I never found killer ones like yours down there.Smaller one were real nice though. I know what you mean by floating polyps. The black coral from Anclote keys area has polyps that twinkle like that. I got a 18 inch saw and never hardly use it.I just reduce with hammer and tumble. Not a cab man,but that cab and your others tempt me.Dang it man.
