Hi,
I am a recent convert to lapidary and wirewrap, having started some three years ago with a small rock tumbler. The dealer pointed me toward the Spokane Rock Rollers Club and things havn't been the same around here since.
Yesterday, in response to a question about stabilizing sodalite slabs, my mentor and friend, Clyde Johnson, gave me your URL. This resulted in two things: instant information overload and a large dose of humility concerning my wirewrap and cab cutting skills.
I am retired from a career with the U S Coast Guard and a second career as a caseworker with the Nevada Department of Prisons, and have settled in Eastern Washington. If the sun ever comes out I will get back to my other diversion, riding a funny-looking recumbent bicycle on club rides in Eastern Washington, Northern Idaho, and possibly Montana.
Thanks,
Jim Rundlett Spokane

Cool. Rocks and bikes go together. Just try to pick up the big ones on the way down the hill, not as you are going up. I have way too many bicycles (restoring old steel touring bikes was my first retirement exercise) and now the lapidary equipment is encroaching on the bike workshop. Go figures and good luck. Tom

Hi \ welcome from Southern California. Sounds like you keep busy, even if you are in the snow country.
I have a home in Dupont and love Washington. Yes this is definetly sensory overload. but the people are great and their information is even better. Enjoy

Welcome. I have most of the materials and a plan to someday build a "ratrod" recumbent teardrop trike.
