Howdy folks, Just finished the bola tie made of coprolite I made for my buddy Hal, rider of Pal. He expressed such delight and amusement that there was even such a thing as petrified dino doody that I just had to give him something made from it. I should have thought to show him the poop before I cut it up as this was one of those longish ones that actually look more like a turd than a cowpie *L*...Mel Whole thing:  Closer shot:  |

Mel: Great bola! the 'turd' shaped coprolites are usually from carnivores....can you see wee bits of bone? The 'cow pie' ones are from herbivores.

That's some good looking poop!!!! LOL! Haven't quite gotten the courage up to dive into that stuff yet, but I must admit, the color and texture of it are really sweet!!!
