I have been working on a checker board for a while, I took some photos as I was making it.. The board was made with the rocks I collected.. Verde Antique Marble Did not take a photo of the rough TriColor Marble Here are the squares I cut out. This photo look like crap. What I did, took a big ass hammer, and smashed Chrysocolla into a power, and filled it around the squares. After sanding down with 60 grit, I went to 220 Went to 500 then 1000 grit Here are 2 photo of the the completed board. Now I need to work on some planying pieces I think I will try this again, with new material.

Nice colors and great checker board! In larger squares it would make a really nice stone tile counter top too!

helens - I too want to know more specifically what he did. Standard construction would have him add cement at 16-1 ratio. 16 chrysocolla to 1 cement. My boss says this is a proper "grout".
