HI,all.just joined this great forum and FYI...please see what am up to;working rocks for 60 years,started,in phoenix az. when was ten,allowed me to explore several special fields of gem cutting and jewelry works. I used photography to develop this idea of creating cartoon character jewelry,in the ninties,which evolved into gemstone cartoon graphics.since this would take a lot of jabbber,it might be simpler to post these web addys,a picture is a thousand words and you can read the descriptions below each image.I often print characters on t shirts -time allowed,and trade them at the quartzite show and sometimes tucson.the ultimate goal is to animate my 200+ characters,first production called 'LIFE ON MARZ". I use scenic jasper backgrounds and edit in the sky/moon/sun.all this is copywrite protected.some day,you might get to see my stone characters in several full length flicks, at the cinemas. see these here: www.flickr.com/photos/96567283@N07/ www.artbreak.com/DAWK |

All your kind replies are very much appreciated!! This concept uses gems-minerals-fossils in a sort of 'secondary' graphics(no rocks were harmed in the making of these images) use,which further allows most of the photographed-digitalized materials to then be cut into cabs,polished slabs/even jewelry,etc.the idea of animating these characters goes into the realm of VAST PUBLIC AWARENESS,BECAUSE IT INTRODUCES NATURAL EARTH SCIENCES TO FOLKS WHO MIGHT BE CURIOUS.clubs know we need more folks-kids to attend our rock shows because the hobby is shrinking for various reasons.We folks,rock hounds, are already 'sensitive' ,but what my idea does,is to awaken others,especially kids,who might take up the quest.animation can do-this,in a big way.
that is why I have been developing all this,so-that others might enjoy-laugh-wonder-marvel and enjoy the earth's rocks.thanks folks,for looking and enjoy,because that is what it is all about-JOY!!
