Looks like a typical granite ax. Incredible stone arrangement in your avatar.

I cannot seem to get the images to just show on the posting as you have on yours jamesp, but I added a few more.
The top is not showing as well as I would like, but it is actually "key" shaped, as you would if you wanted to insert it into a wood handle. Wouldn't an ax need to be sharp on the end and not blunt?
This came from the Arizona desert if that helps. I have had it for 30 or so years.

Click on your picture on the flickr site. Click the little rectangle with the arrow coming out of it under the picture. Select "Grab the HTML/BBCode" Click the button "BBCode" on the bottom. Copy the code and paste it in your message here.
I never name my photos on flickr, so I like to delete the second half of the code so no text appears under my pictures.

yes, you need to find out how to get BBCodes from your host. you can make them manually but it is a pain

Thank you Rob, while I was trying out your directions, (successfully) I see a few more replys.
So this would be refereed to as an axe. I imagine it was far more useful for smashing than cutting anything. I appreciate the reply's.

Right click and select copy does well if you use the top line on the 'insert image' icon in building your 'reply' choice on the right.
Right clicking on photos seems easy to me for capturing photos anywhere on the internet including flicker. Right click on your photo stream or set first time gives you size choice.
Right click a 2nd time and copy the photo address.

no bb codes required. Right click on the image --> copy image url --> back to post making form --> click on the image icon --> Ctrl-P pastes the image into the popup, OK or whatever and it's in your post. No bb-codes. That is how I steal all your images and re-post them for comment.

That is my way too Scott. It is fast and easy. You explain it way better. Could not word it for Pat. Great for photo pirates and flicker folks too.
Flicker photos in a selected set or photo stream mode are right clicked and flicker gives size options-100,320,500 etc etc first. Pick your size and right click again and select properties to get photo address to paste in image icon window.

I just tried your method, James and Scott. I'm not sure if it saves time or not. I have to click more stuff on Flickr, but I don't have to use the photo icon here. I can use the quick reply box, but you can't with your method. I'll have to experiment to see which way I like better.

Dude whatever works! we ain't stuck in our ways. we ain't gonna tell ya how to do it. But that method is quite simple with no need to learn "codes" and it's the pesky codes that freak some folks out. Now, when I can I get some of that hematite stuff!?!?!?!?!

I am not educated on your method Rob. I will not say my method is better. I will say that my way is the way i learned. And that's it. If some one asks, i tell them what i know. Like you do.
The reply box has a lot of tools to do other stuff with. I recently switched to a Mac and it changed things up a bit. Still learning....
