My wife picked this ball & base up at a sale. Solar powered LED works pretty good under a selenite crystal. Solar panel is about 15 ft. away. Pic. taken day & night at exact same location.

Those glass yard balls are mesmerizing.
If our cat didn't knock it over, I would. Good thing we don't have one. Sure are pretty!

Cool orb. A lot of pottery orbs are sold in Atlanta. Orbs are a big part of the sales. Also ellipsoid and parabolic shapes that look like flying saucers. Some of it is real big stuff. It is all glazed. It used to come out of China until they discovered the Vietnamese pottery and glazings to be of higher quality. My wife bought several to put in the pond but they all sunk. I laugh out loud every time i think about it. I will suggest glass now. Look at the maple seeds on the ground. What type of maple do you have? Wiki on Vietnamese pottery- very interesting en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vietnamese_pottery

Thanks for compliments on the ball. My wife has a way of setting me up for projects. She found the ball and base, I had to figure out the light, etc. Love her for that, always like a challenge.
