I found these totally by accident when I stopped the Jeep to check a rock in the distance. I walked all over them looking for the color that I had seen when driving. When my brain switched back from registering color to what else is on the ground it spotted these fossils all over the place. I have picked up and given away hundreds of these in many places and this is the first that I have seen that are either brown agate or smoky quartz. After I saw that I was picking them up with both hands and stuffing my pockets full. Has anyone else seen these totally changed from petrified to agatized? I am thinking they must be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars and I am going to be heading to Hawaii in a couple of weeks. Or Not. Please let me know what you think. Polished on the front they would make some awesome beads. Jim

WooHoo Thank you Jean. Some time ago I wrote that name down and had it on my desk so I could remember it. After I remembered it I threw the damn paper away AND FORGOT IT AGAIN. THERE IS NO HOPE.
Are any of those agatized? That is the thing that I am really wondering about. Jim

Wow, they have even found them changed to precious opal. So, does anyone want to buy some belemnites for fifty thousand dollars? That is half off. Jim
