The infamous (now anyways!) Sunset Rhyolite from Tommy. Tommy gave this to me at the N. Cady's gathering. A true treat to have. Gorgeous. I see some movement in the stone on the rough sides.

Rough stone.

I'll be adding images as I cut it up, grind it up and polish the balls.

Good stuff Scott, I'm glad you are enjoying a very special stone as much as Eva and I enjoyed finding it. We found it while prospecting down a narrow box-canyon (more of a crevice) and neither of us had a bag or backpack or anything, not really expecting to find anything. None of the surrounding rock of the canyon resembled this rock so it had to have fallen in from above. We can't wait to get back there and search for the source.

Please keep the thread updated with photos as you cut and polish the balls :-)
