Hope everyone had some good holidays with quality family time.
Let me be the first to ring out this long year with some colorful stuff that I had been working on over these past few hectic months.
First up its a piece that I decided to rework, and man was that one of the best things I had done in a while. Christopher Agate was trying my patience since Summer, but what I got out of it (besides some wonderful pieces all by themselves) is a better understanding as to how one can work on those colors. This one, I think I was able to improve by at least 200% and as my skill gets better, I shall be able to continue on, in a few years to come.

Next up is a Mexican from Christopher. Looks like an Alien Baby to me. roar29

The indoor pictures above show the shape, but do not justice to the actual super bright color.

One more from Christopher. This one I started in Summer, but still not done. The color-scheme here is fantabolous in the main-section. Have not yet been able to get all the colors along the edges and proves quite a challenge as the colors veer off in different
directionality. So often you see nothing, then you turn a little and you got super-bright colors screaming at you. In the end, its one of the best that Christopher has allowed me to have to date (still wonder why he let that one go

Last but not least, after wrestling with it for over a month, I think I'm finally done with this one. Indoor under normal room-light on the left and outdoor in full sunshine on the right

Christopher has some wonderful color in the material he collects from his claim, but its hard to have them shine in a massive piece like this. Its hard enough to take pictures of FA any-day, but when it comes to bigger pieces like here, the stupendous colors often get lost in the whole composition.

Teased my usual victim for wearing a piece into taking a walk with the dogs and took the opportunity to take some pictures.
Here is the pic to get an idea of the size.

Thats it for 2013. Looking forward to a better 2014. Kurt
