I made some knives this last week end. Woody The first pair is a Dacite blade, and a Black Butter obsidian blade both set with pitch, wrapped with hemp cord, and have turquoise wolf tracks set in the haft bases. Both knives are fifteen inches long. The bases The second pair is a Black Obsidian blade, and Glass Buttes Rainbow blade both set with pitch, and wrapped with natural gut. The third pair is a Glass Buttes Pumpkin Obsidian, and a Burns Green Obsidian blade, both set with pitch, and gut wrapped. The last knife is another GB Pumpkin blade set in pitch, wrapped with gut, and has wolf tracks carved in the haft.

Incredibly beautiful, all of them. The wolf tracks are such a beautiful detail, but the turquoise ones are really stunning.

Pretty sharp things!!
So I never found the 'knapping' pile at Glass Butte until the second time I went there...afterwards I found videos online and watched a ton since, 1) I couldn't believe people still made blades like that, & 2) if what knappers left behind was that pile (of which I wanted to take EVERYTHING home from) they must be make the most fabulously lovely blades ever seen on Earth.
And here you are. With stone paw prints for the bonus!

Looks great. Very unique in my opinion and yes, the foot-prints make them extra special.
