Hello all. I'm tentatively going to the "Jurassic Coast" in Dorset County, England this summer. Can any one here from this area (or have collected from there before) tell me if there are specific regulations for collecting, customs...etc. Thanks! ~Henry

Hi Henry have a look at the following links. Uk Fossils website with pages fpr each area.Forum run by the same companyDorset is a beautiful part of the country I've been there many times most things are signposted, stay away from the cliff bases as they are very unstable and will fall without warning, get yourself a tide timetable and pay close attention to it the tide can move very quickly and you can get cut off. The shops are very expensive, but they are aimed at tourists, some of the fossils on display in Lyme Regis are beyond belief. The beaches at Lyme Regis and Charmouth are the most popular amongst tourists, there are plenty of fossils to find. Simon
