Great looking piece Tela. Are you doing your girdles on your cabs different now that you are bezel setting vs wrapping?

Great looking piece Tela. Are you doing your girdles on your cabs different now that you are bezel setting vs wrapping? Chuck Great question, Chuck. Actually, I didn't cab this one. I just picked it up from 49erminerals on etsy. And, I have had the covellite piece for probably 10 years- it predates my cabbing. I have set some of my own, though. I haven't done any cabbing since I started bezel setting, (too cold) but yes, I will be cabbing differently. I will be putting the slant on the girdle. For wrapping, I don't. If I want to set any of my own stones that I previously cabbed, it is an easy matter to grind an angle with my flatlap. I haven't had any trouble with my own stones, though.

I like it too Tela, trying to picture what type of wire brush you used and how you used it

It was a tight little round steel wire brush. I don't know what they are supposed to be for, but it worked good for pattern.

Ah Ok Tela I know the exact brush you are talking about. its the kind that I use to "jewel" silver plate. You technique seems more random is all. Looks great!
