I don't think it's a claw, I'm thinking tooth. The white being tooth enamel. In the third photo, the curved grey area on the left would be facing into the mouth.
Don't know which tooth, maybe an incisor, or what animal. What is the age of the deposits where it was found? Jean

I'm thinking tooth also. The left portion of the pics would be the visible part of the tooth if the critter were still alive. Right portion in the pics would be the root.
A google search should give you an idea of what sort of critters lived in the area where you found it, 15 or 20 million years ago. Cool find.
I'm thinking from the size and shape, the critter was a plant eater.

I would guess by what I have seen in the RTM (Royal Tyrell Museum) it is a Crocodile or a Plesiosaur tooth.

Crocodilians are cone shaped but a bit concave outward. Could be chipped. And their root is collinear with the centerline of the entire tooth. It looks like an incisor/ front tooth.
