Hi Folks,
My name is Mark and I'm 47 years old and have always enjoyed geology and better yet the beauty of polished rocks. I have recently introduced my 6 year old son into the hobby by investing in a couple of Lortone units, a 3A at first but needed more capacity so I picked up the double 6 lbs unit. As a team we have had OK results but by reading some of the posts on this forum I'm hoping to improve our results from all of the great tips.
Thanks again, Mark and Andrew

welcome Mark (and Andrew) Lots of good stuff on this forum and many people go to great lengths to help and inform. I am pretty new too and feel like I have found 'home'. Hope you will feel the same.

welcome aboard mark (and andrew) My kids got me into rock tumbling a few years ago and it has been a very slippery slope ever since. 6 years old is a great age to get him going too. my first advice is to post pictures of your tumbles and ask as many questions as it takes.

Welcome from Western New York. I started tumbling about 6 months ago and have only finished 2 batches with OK results. There is a lot of information on here. It is just a matter of sifting through all of it. Good luck and I think it is great that you are getting for son into it a well.
