So I've shared this stone with you all once before, and after serious thought on how to make it work in a glass case, I figured it out. Looking for feedback as this is my first ever attempt at using sand for the "landscape". Mixed the sand with matte modgepodge, pressed the stones into it to leave indentations so I could glue the stones on to it once completely dry (takes forever!) Thanks for taking a look

Thank you all, glad it got such positive feedback. I really had no clue how it would turn out, but never know until you try. I had seen jewelry made similar to this, where you fill a bezel with sand mixed with modgepodge. Now here's hoping I can sell it lol

It kinda looks like snow. Can you do it other colors, like brown, too? Great idea! Good luck selling it- like you really need the luck.

Yes, I was actually thinking it looks like snow too, I have a quartz cluster I was going to make a beaded tree out of with quartz chips but couldn't find a way to make a snow scene without using that fake snow for model trains which I thought would look cheesy. I'm going to find white sand and try it. This stuff is like eggshell/off white, matched these stones well but will make for dirty snow lol. I got it at a craft store it's called art sand. Used in mandala making and also sand art bottles, Google image search it and you'll see what I'm talking about, so yes it comes in a rainbow of colors

Nice work. I can't see how you would have any problem finding a loving home for it

Price is my only set back... I need to make $200 off it to make back my materials and time, plus whatever commission my retailer is going to charge. Although I may bring it down to the rock shop I use. I've sold a couple trees there and they don't charge commission. Their customers seem to have money also, more so than the people who shop at the new age stores I use.
