I haven't been around much the last few months due to life getting extremely busy but.... I just had to share this! My hubby and I own a window cleaning company and for my birthday, my husband Patrick arranged a trade with one of my biggest mentors, Michael Hoover. He cleaned the windows on Michael's house and his daughter's house in exchange for a full day of one on one private instruction on knife making and jade polishing secrets using Nova wheels. My knife took me 5 hours to complete and then we spent a little over an hour polishing several different varieties of BC Jade. I learned so much, especially regarding what NOT to do with jade!!!!! Upon leaving, he sent me home with 10lbs of A to AAA grade varieties of Jade slabs. Also several slabs of Willow Creek. It was the best day ever and today I am ordering the few pieces of small tools that I don't have so that I can continue making knives at home! This is a Case knife with A grade Gem Boulder Creek Nephrite, B.C. Thanks for taking some of your time to look at some of mine!!!

That's such a cool opportunity to spend a day with someone who can teach you all the tricks of the trade. That turned out beautifully.

Stunning! That jade is perfect! I'll be doing one myself sometime. I just have to make the knife. I do blacksmithing as well. Keep up the good work!
