pulled this out of the lake a couple of days ago. I would not have thought about it being a fetish except that I had just seen some similar a couple of weeks ago in the local museum. Of course there is no way to document if it is possibly a fetish or just a freak of nature, there is no archeological site associated with it, but it is not the sort of thing I usually find. just thought it interesting to speculate about.
might just be my first real piece of jade pulled from the lake, too. funny

this one is a little bigger but still a bear. This sits on the edge of the road leading into our cottage property. I never noticed it but my aunt spotted it and she likes to paint rocks so she added the artwork. Chuck

Deb, Not all of us are artists and especially for the first 10 years of working with stones. Thus I'd say maybe, but not likely to be an intentional representation of a bear. But its yours and you can call it anything you want. BTW the back was what turned my opinion, it looks too much like an artifact of nature. Keep on searching. Tom
