"Will get you wet in a hurry" I bet wet is good on some of those hot Georgia days! Our well water is about 45-50 degrees year round and even on hot days it takes your breath away when you get hit with it! That sander/polisher is the cats meow! What grit series do you use? connrock

If you use 100 to get them out, it is hard to get the 100 scratches out w/200 and 400 for some reason. Those pads are very cheap and last forever on agate, not concrete. the are diamond impregnated rubber and have a 3600 RPM limit to avoid burning the rubber. So that angle grinder spins 3600 instead of a metal grinding unit at 11,000. Also mounted 100 200 400 800 1500 and 3000 on cheap Walmart 3600 RPM grinders. This will polish a 1-3 inch slab very quickly. Love this machine.

Yowzer,,,the Walmart grinder rig looks like a wet affair too! Saw marks can be a problem. My 10" saw used to cut pretty true and I got some very nice smooth cuts out of it but the carriage guide rods and the carriage friction bearings are shot now so I do get saw marks. Being that you can only go as high as 3000 grit with the hand sander/polisher,,,do you think you might be able to use finer flat lap disks to achieve a higher gloss? It would probably take some adapters but you have a good water source on the machine already so it may be possible,,,thinking out loud here! LOL Gotta be a way,,,,,just haven't thunk of it yet! LOL connrock
