Never seen such. What a great idea. Those stones are all stellar. But my favorite is the pure white stone contrasting with the earthy wrap. I had been making raw industrial furniture and it would be placed in the middle of a white interior. An old rusty(but sealed with lacquer) factory roll cart clashing with the clean white paint and couch for instance. That kind of contrast is popular these days.

WAY TO GO. That is a first for me also and it is way cool. I love it when someone jumps outside the box. Totally impressed. Jim

Love it! I've been wanting to do this with paracord, but wasn't sure what knots/weaves to use!

Huge thank you to everyone!
I've just started doing them about a month ago and have done around 20 necklaces so far. All different stones. I'm really glad I found this site to become better educated in regard to the stones. I've just been buying what I liked, not always knowing whether I'm buying quality or junk. Lol
Thanks again for the encouragement and compliments!

Hi John! You asked for pics so I gladly obliged! lol I haven't tried wire though I know I'd have fun with it! I wanted to come up with something different and comfortable for people like myself who are sensitive to metals. Now I just need to figure out a way to get traffic on my site.

Now those are different. I like these a lot. You should have no problem selling those.

those have a very nice, softer feeling,The fiber counter balances the hardness of the stone the way metal work can't.. I am from the flower child generation and those strike a deep memory chord from my mis-spent youth! Would love to hear more about how you do it... what fibers you use, what techniques (do you use beeswax on the cord?) I have wondered about horse hair or waxed linen cord... this is setting off a hurricane of possibilities in my brain... glad you got the link on your signature. Next thing we will be asking you to post tutorials! Nice contribution to the forums, glad you are with us!

Very nice work Beverly! I 'favorited' your store on Etsy. I recently saw another person on Etsy selling macrame wraps and it really appealed to me as something out of the ordinary and beautiful. This is my favorite piece on your store. If I may offer some constructive feedback, my opinion is that you might be a bit low on your prices. You have some unusual stones and your prices are not much higher than what the stone might sell for. In my favorite Eudialyte piece above I would price that 40mm x 29mm stone no less than $40 in my Etsy store without knowing a thing about it just on size and unusual abstract beauty alone. If I read up on it and it is rare or unusual the price would go higher. I don't know how much time it takes to create one of your wraps but to someone like me with thick fingers it seems like a lot of work and I would think the cost needs to be much more than $20 above the cost of the stone just on the coolness factor alone. A good friend and mentor here on the board taught me to put forth the perception of value and your customers will respond to it because they want to KNOW they are getting a high quality piece. Tommy

Big fan of these too. I'm not always so hot on wire wraps (though the skill involved is incredible) and these are a little more up my alley. Nice to have a soft encasing for the rock.

I really like those! I've done macramé back in the day - wall hangings, plant holders, etc. Would never have thought of using it for pendants instead of wire wrapping. Way cool!
