Welcome from the shores of Lake Erie & NE Ohio, you'll find plenty of info & meet some pretty cool peeps & colorful characters here on RTH & we all share your passion/addiction in the making!! Ask lots of questions & post plenty of pics (I've found photobucket to be very easy for getting pics posted here). Welcome to the cool club of rockhounds!!

WOW, you sound like the kind of woman I am looking for. Will you marry me? I have one requirement though, you have to be between 21 and 70 or I won't show up. All adulting aside, welcome from North Central Wyoming, the land of nothing but rocks. I even have them in my head. Jim The good news is I am between 21 and 70. Best news I'm still BREATHING!!!!! YEA!!!!

I lived in Ft Fun, LOVE it there. Very cool, been here most of the past 22 years. "The land of the Ute" - you mean Utah I suppose? I went there to hound for this first time this January and have been back 3 times this year! Really enjoy it there.

Stacy, welcome from Scotland!
I was out rockhounding in the wind and rain today - we are experiencing storms at the moment. Mad, every item of clothing was wet through. But I got some great rocks and came home very happy. I am one of these people who also plan holidays with rock collecting in mind. I have arranged a holiday for my extended family of 17 for next summer - right on a beach where there are agates. What a coincidence! :-)

Hi Stacy!
Welcome from Minnesota. I agree with you Life is too short to be grumpy....life is a lot easier if you're happy . I have been picking rocks for about two years but just recently was finally able to afford my own rock shop with a lapidary wheel, rock saw, a good camera, and a tumbler...but when it comes to polishing or cutting I have no idea what I'm doing but I know I can learn here. There are good people on this board that are very helpful.
