Hello from Louisiana, new to rock tumbling I have always wanted to get into the hobby just never took the plunge until now. I just purchased a Tru-Square Model B 15# metal hexagon tumbler, and I will report it is busy at this very moment tumbling it's very first batch. I traveled down to Mt. Hermon Louisiana where my in-laws are from the Bogue Chitto river there is solid/loose rock bottom and tons of river tossed rocks all over the place. We collected some samples from there, and now can't wait to see how they turn out!

Welcome From Vidalia Louisiana....What part are you in...I just went and hunted some agates Sunday...John I hail from Ruston Louisiana, I go down south sometimes around Franklinton and Mt. Hermon, the river there lends up some rocks have a ton of Iron Ore here that just comes up out the ground in Ruston but I just use that for flower beds and such. Give me a shout if you go rock hunting especially up to Arkansas or something since I live just north of I-20 not far to Arkansas line. Patman

Welcome from Iowa. I started 4 months ago and i now have 3 rotaries, a UV-18 vibe and a slant cab on the way. This hobby is ADDICTIVE. Also waiting on Ocean Jasper and Laguna Agates. Just got a few pounds of Rutilated Quartz this morning..I wish one of the tumblers was empty to start it.....Oh well
