While emptying my fine polish load, I noticed a few "tablesthingies" ;D of slurry had leaked out...maybe less. What would cause such a slow leak in a Lortone, slight overtightening or slight understightening?

If you check your load frequently, and are using pellets, make sure the rim of the barrel that the lid fits into is free from any stray pellets resting on it. I use a small paint brush to clean it before I put the lid back on. This would cause a slow leak where it is not sealed properly. On undertightening, I have had a leak in my Lortone 4.5 (the whole lid fell off), but I have learned to tighten it a bit more, and if I can't pull the lid off by the knurled nut once it is tightened that is where I leave it. Thats my two cents worth.

I have found that in the Corse grind if there is some grit on the lid. It will sometimes leek a very little.

Though I use a vibrating tumbler, it has been suggested to me that aleak could mean a little too much water in the mix.
