Hey folks.. Here's some of mt Silver Smithing work. Lapis Lazuli ring. This material was purchased from a Marine stationed in Afghanistan. I met him on FB. He would go to the street markets and purchase rough to sell to people back in the States. Got about 4 lbs of beautiful rocks. A custom order Marfa Plume pendant I did for a customer. She picked out the stone from my pics on FB. With the translucent cabs I like to cut the back out to let the light shine though. Back... A small Pietersite pendant. For the bail on this one I hammered out an ingot into a strip and folded it on itself. The silver had to be annealed several times during the forging process. This is either Horse Canyon moss agate or something else... Same treatment for the bail as the one above. The back is cutout on this one as well. I may have posted this one here before so my apologies if you've already seen it. An Imperial Jasper ring.... this one is actually for sale on my Etsy site... the URL is in my sig below. Last one.... Marfa Plume set in Sterling. Thanks for looking... hope you enjoyed. Dan

I love the horse canyon too. The setting complements the stone very well.

Very nice! Great collaboration all the way around. I have to go with the marfa plume as my fav. I think the setting really works with the stone.

Thanks so much folks... the bail came from a tutorial. I wanted to see how difficult it would be to do. It wasn't easy... :-)

Love your settings but the handmade bails are outstanding. Grinding out the backs of those cabs I know is not easy but having the patience to polishing it out is awesome!!!!!! I believe we both made out with the Army guy sending back the lapis.......or maybe someone different but I did get some nice lapis too. 39don
