Thank you all for the props.my photos are taken with a iPhone 6+.at least my recent posts are.as far as lighting a fluorescent bulb about 1' behind and above the piece.once again thank you all

Its really amazing just how good the phones cameras are getting. Although this picture is very good I think you could do better getting a 5000k LED flood lamp or compact fluorescent lamp. The 5000k lamps come pretty close to the light spectrum of sunlight. It may give you truer colours. And I am in no way saying your colours are off only you can tell lol. Also everyone's monitors are different. You did an awesome job on these

The stone was given to me by a buddy who's dad collected it back in the 60-70's.the color really is that blue,even bluer in natural light.the orange fluorescent bulb doesn't help lol. Dave
