It's not 25 lbs it is 93 lbs. 25 lbs is what the limit to collect is.

It doesn't sound like they fined him, so I suppose that's a reasonable response, considering the law. I think the collecting limit is a bit low though. It doesn't take many rocks to make 25 lbs.

Yeah I agree 25 pounds annually is kind of a joke for collecting. If nothing else I think he learned a lesson about social media. Had he not posted it on Facebook this is not a news story at all.

Chuck Some people on FB lose their shyt over pulling off the road and collecting a rock or two off a main highway or interstate from what I've been told. Good thing I ask for permission and only collect on private land when permission is granted |

Once they started playing games with him, he should have taken it back to the lake and dumped it into deep water.
