Some stuff I cobbled together. Mother daughter rings for xmas, Paua shell in sterling. Mother daughter cross pendants, sterling, Xmas again Self hounded prairie agate from this years SD trip in a sterling prong setting for wifey for Xmas. I really like the stone and how the pendant turned out but as its only my second or third prong setting any comments would be appreciated. I think the prongs are good? comments? it was hard to get them pressed down. Without "undercutting" them and using a hammer hand piece setting would have been ugly. 14 g half round. Kingman Turquoise and sterling pendant, with self made copper bead accents. Brushed finish front and back. For Etsy. Rutilated quartz in sterling, this really is a love it or hate it piece, I am undecided, you won't hurt my feelings. Part polished part textured. Let Etsy buyers decide if they like it. A couple of dino bone mandants for a couple friends of mine, one is for the guy that send me the (I think rib bone, ya to stupid to take a picture of it before I cut it). I am pretty sure it is Alberta bone it is hard and gemmy but drabber colors. Perfect for my friends. Certainly not the quality of Utah bone. Standard disclaimer, they all look better in hand, not as many flaws to the human eye as the camera finds. Thanks for looking.

Nice job on all of them. The prongs look good to me. Not sure I like the rutilated quartz, seems like the texture and polish combo detracts from the cab but that's just my opinion. I'm sure someone will love it.

Ditto drocknut ... but taste is a funny thing - eveyone has their own.
I also like the dino bone, tho muted colours have a hard task of being appreciated - the one on the right is lovely.
The prongs are nice and short, smartly rounded, too. Only you will know if the stone is secure and the prongs retain enough thickness. The rest of the job of a prong is to look as insignificant as possible, which they'll only do by looking smart, which yours do imho.
The turquoise is nice too and the copper adds a good complement - do you lacquer them or will they oxidise?

You've been busy! I actually like the rutile piece. Something about it.... I think your prongs look right on and I ditto what metalsmith had to say about them. I like the bone.... I like all dino bone just about. I think that because they are for guys the muted colors work well. Not crazy about the crosses, though. I don't like how they appear to hang. (end to end)

Thanks everyone,
First I should clarify (after re-reading my post), without the hammer tool getting the prongs set would have been hard. Love that tool. The stone is not going anywhere its in there very tight.
Funny thing about that rutilated, I was at the club this morning and someone thought there should be more contrast between the stone and the rest of the pendant, and the next person really liked it.
I did not coat the copper so it will oxidize, might be a good thing.
Tela I understand what you are saying about the crosses, they do sit sideways or at an angle and I am not sure if that is disrespectful or not. They are very trending now and that is what my wife wanted. There were 2 priests at the club today and neither said anything about them, and Herve would have told me for sure, but who knows?
The dino bone colors are good for a man I think, they turned out ok, thanks for the comments everyone.
