Since I've been in Quartzsite I figured I'd take the opportunity to use the rock club's shop to make a few more items. I haven't done any silver work since last year so I'm sure rusty. I did a ring but sent it to a friend and now can't find the picture I thought I took of it. This set was gave me fits and when it came to trying to put matching or at least similar bails on the earrings and pendant I was at a loss so took someone's suggestion to use 18 gauge round sterling wire. I'm still not sure I like it but don't know what I could do about it especially since I already took the bezel tool to it to lock down the bezel. I suppose I could disassemble them but I have no idea how I'd do it differently. What do you think? Also I'd like to try something different with a cab of turquoise that I have but I can't find any southwestern looking bezel wire or anything I'd like to put with the cab to make it look interesting and southwestern. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I thought about trying to find a small sterling silver charm to solder next to the bezel but can only find leaves or feathers at the local bead store/jewelry store in Quartzsite (Hardee's Beads). Thanks for looking and for the help.

Very nice I like the curly-q bail.will you add a jump ring?as far as a southwest feel,I've made a couple that would fit the bill with just regular bezel wire, leaving the back plate proud on all sides then wrap filigree wire at the base and solder.or make some silver granulations and use those as embellishments.once again nicely done Dave

Yes, Dave, I will add a jump ring to the pendant to hang it on a chain if I leave it as is. Thank you for the ideas on southwest feel.

I love the set! I like the way you did the bails and I think the colors are perfect together. I am envious, in fact, because everything I have been trying to do has not been working out. I like the twisted wire and high bezel wire for a Western look.

Thank you all. Maybe I'll just leave it as is since you like it.

They look fine, I would just leave them be they are nice. Am I understanding correctly, you soldered on the bale with the stones already set?

Diane I read your post again and now I understand what you meant, that bezel would pull apart easy but I like them the way they are.

Thanks Pat. So it's unanimous, the set stays as is. I also have a ring sized cab of the same material so I was thinking of making a matching ring although I can't figure yet how to make it match the set with the curly wires. I will think upon it a while longer.
