Didn't want to post this is the cabochon section because it is flat polished not domed

It had a really thin spot and a big chip in it (was a piece of an end cut) and I tried my best to make it a useable piece. Going into a bezel cup for the snap button of my wallet.
Not perfect, but that's to be expected for a first attempt. I guess flat face is harder than domed according to the guys in the lapidary center I joined. Look forward to making more

Thanks I'm pleased with how it turned out. Nice color and cell structure on it too. I've got another piece from the same end cut, I'd like to polish out a matching circle for the button closure on my purse but i only had so much time to spend on this today before I had to get back to working on another project so it'll have to wait for another day.
