the whole idea just works. A killer montana made into guitar pics, "the stone" etched onto the pic would make alot of dmb fans super happy. Plus the fact I'll be giving DJM and Stefan Lessard each one... Super frickn cool. The dmb fans go crazy over anything dmb related. To be safe from any infridgment issues, stay clear of using their name, logo etc. I see no reason why "the stone" would be an issue. The pics are made from stone right? There's potential here, being a fan myself, I know how dedicated the fan base is and selling some at a show would be damn near effortless lol if it's dmb linked in anyway...they want it. Montana agate is one of bushmanbilly 's top of the list materials for pics. You are the Montana Mamma . You may have a slab saw that cuts slabs to his specs. May be best to send him the thin slabs he needs. It may take a very precise saw, not sure. He is in Canada and postage is costly. But you can put a lot of thin slabs or pics in a very small box. Just thinking out loud. Best to check with Dale and see if he is interested. That man does not sit still.

I'll pick out some cool slabs (without fractures of course) and get as many as I can in a sm box. I guess that's if he's up for it lol if he's willing, theres a ton of dmb fans who strum the guitar and will buy anything dmb related. Years ago I made plaques out of recycled wood, painted different lyrics on each and I made enough money to pay for my trips to concerts. It worked out great plus I enjoyed utilizing my creative side:)

It worked out great plus I enjoyed utilizing my creative side:) Slabs have to be thin like 1-2mm and no saw marks..... He can't make thick slabs thin. He would be better off with whole rocks and cut his own. So you best discuss all this with Dale. Montana agate is el primo because it has so little defects in the form of tiny holes that cut guitar strings. Just giving you some heads up. Dale picky about the material he makes them out of. If he can feel his fingernail catch on any edge the pic is trash.

Have you tried using one in playing? I have not even picked up a guitar in my life. Many have used my picks. They take a little getting used to as there is no flex in them. I have being told by many users that they are the next best thing to turtle shell which is banded. They do eliminate the clicking sound that plastic is famous for. And have a cleaner sound. The bonus is that unless you drop them on a concrete floor. They last will last many life times over. Could be handed down for many generations. As they are already millions of years old.

Check with the bushmanbilly machine Sweety. He is the master pic maker, he did these. He would be tickled to hear Dave Matthews is strumming w/one of his pics. I will do just that. Well a couple yrs ago Dave jammed wearing my sunglasses. Stefan is my fav, I always make something for him. Cool guys who would appreciate them. I will send you a email tonight Wendy.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. But I owe my success to the fine people on this forum. If not for the sharing of their knowledge and wisdom of everything rock related. I could not have done it alone.

I think he has the process down to make picks. They look great . I can't play a instrument of any kind but they are very cool. My son plays, a birthday gift maybe...a website?
