The metro folks are a wide variety. Lots of single people that buy throughout the summer as opposed to the suburbanites that stop buying in June when the kids get out of school. It is kind of a boiling pot for 'who's who' in Atlanta. Became a landmark about 15 years ago. Delivery day entails a fine metro meal and a stop by some of the interesting shops or dropping by some of the scrap yards to junk hunt.
Lot of the fountains and vases come in from overseas via port Savannah Georgia. Lots of interesting large scale lapidary. Granite/marble/exotic carvings and tumbled stones. Hard for the oversea guys to ship aquatic plants, never thought that they would be such a fierce competitor 25 years ago. Many of the US fountain and hard goods manufacturers have been squeezed out of business. Our country has changed. I feel like a dinosaur having stayed in business so long. Hard to have employees any longer, thankfully wife and I can run the business. Classified as farming, govt. pretty much leaves us alone. Govt. needs to eat so they leave the farmers alone I suppose.

An attractive sales lot they have there, lots of variety and nice and tidy. Good use made of your day. Good discussion of world now, I knew a couple who team drove a truck, hauled Calif. mfg. goods to Savannah for export and Italian tile back, a round trip a week for years.

Diagonally across the country requires a couple of hearty people. Lots of European stuff coming in this way. Italy for instance. The German car makers included, sprinkled around Savannah into South Carolina and Atlanta. Porsche built a test track close by that many would die to drive. Gotta figure a way to sneak in there.
