Here are some things I've made. Please ignore the glitter, it got everywhere. Clay with neat half marble. You make these wild marbles by using nail polish! And the metallic coating is done with eye shadow baked on. Poor man's alternative to buying expensive powders. Swirly stuff. These are pretty big, hence the chunky chains. Covered heart tin and freeform heart with what are supposed to be red flowers. My cute little snake with Swarofski crystal eyes. I love how I managed to make his tail the bail. Pearly colored eye shadow for iridescence. [/url] Test subjects. The center one is supposed to mimic an opal. The other two I used red and white clay with metallic gold clay mixed in, with translucent clay on top. Ignore the glitter, please. That was only supposed to be inside the opal, under the translucent clay.

Bice start. I like your innovation of baking on the eye powder for a metallic effect. If you have not checked out Pinterest I recommend you do so. Lots on polymer clay and will give you a lot more ideas.
