A strange material found on the Montana Yellowstone River... Billings area....Heavy for its size,full of quartz...Has designs like cell structures,but also off the wall structures too...

I'm going for nonbiological. Those spots are too irregular, and don't look like the patterns I'd expect in bone or plant materials.
I'd guess pockets of some mineral forming in a matrix that wasn't yet well formed when reinvaded. Just thinking.
